Barcelona – Insider Tips

After having spent some time here in Barcelona I thought it was time to share my favorite spots and activities in the city, which has so much to offer. These are truly my favorite spots and I hope that you get to enjoy them as well! Feel free to add any other tips you might have.

Cafes:

Rambla de Raval /47: “Madame Jasmine” and across the road “Cafe de les Delicies”. Cafe “Lobo” behind the Hotel 1898 on La Ramblas (Carrer del Pintor Fortuny 3, Barcelona)

Bars:

Cavaria (Xampagneria) – Metro Barceloneta: C/ Reina Cristina 3, 08003 Barcelona. This cavaria is a special place because it is run by the unions. The place is incredibly packed, extremely cheap and has a great atmosphere. As it is run by the unions it will close at 10.30 pm sharp!

Restaurants:

4 Ghats – famous for the world-known guests and visitors  (Pablo Picasso among others)

Quarters:

“Barrio Gotico”, “El Born”, “Rambla de Raval”, “Sarria”

Activities

The Jazz-Catameran-Cruise on the Catamaran-Orsom:

Sights:

Catedral, Sagrada Familia, Barceloneta beaches, Montjuic, Picasso Museum (if I am not wrong some of the museums should be for free on the first Sundays of every month but don’t quote me on that)

The tourist bus trip: BusTouristic (ca. 21 Euros). This is not actually a really good way to discover Barcelona and I have discovered some great spots which I haven’t heard of before.

I have dedicated these insider tips an entire page now, which you can find here on the right.
